SPF Protection
How could you protect your email from being spoofed? What is Sender Policy Framework?
Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a validation system, that is employed to prevent the so-called email spoofing where an email message can be sent from one e-mail address, but to look as being sent from a different, often with the idea to fraud the recipient someway. If SPF protection is enabled for a domain, a special record is created for it in the Domain Name System and all of the DNS servers around the world have it. The record features all of the email servers that are permitted to send valid messages from an email address within the domain. When an e-mail is sent, the very first DNS server it encounters verifies the SPF record and when its sending server is authorized, the message is sent to the target destination. When, however, the sending server doesn't exist in the SPF record for the particular domain, the message won't be sent and it will be removed. In the event that you employ this solution, it'll prevent third parties from sending spam emails that appear to have been sent by you.

SPF Protection in Website Hosting
If you host your domains in a
website hosting account with us and we handle the e-mail addresses for them, you are able to enable SPF protection for all of them with several clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. The service is available in its own section where you're able to see which domains are currently protected. For those that are not, you'll be able to enable the SPF protection option and set up a number of things in the process - the hostnames of the mail servers that are permitted to send messages from your email addresses, the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses of these servers, as well as to set a rule that emails can be sent only when your domain names have our MX records. The last solution is the most secure one, and it can be used if we handle the email addresses for your domains and you are not using another email service provider. The new records will propagate within one day and nobody will be able to fake the FROM field in a message with your e-mail addresses.

SPF Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The Hepsia web hosting Control Panel, which is included with our
Linux semi-dedicated hosting, provides you with an exceptionally easy-to-use interface to activate the SPF protection service for each domain that you host within your new account. Several clicks in the Emails section of Hepsia will be enough for that then you'll only have to type in the hostname and the IP address of the mail server which will be permitted to send out messages from your e-mails. When the email messages are managed on our end and not by another supplier, you'll be able to increase the security level even further and take advantage of an option for the outgoing email messages to be sent only if your domains use our MX records. This option gives you more control and it'll eliminate any chance of somebody forging your e-mails with the intention of spamming and / or scamming people. It is not applicable if just your web site is on our outstanding cloud hosting platform, while your e-mails are handled by some other provider. If you aren't sure what features to pick, our tech support crew will help you 24/7.
